How to be GREEN | How to live GREEN

Green, "live by" advice by: an environmentally conscious architectbuilder

As the prime responsible stewards of "our" finite planet we all need to look around at what we are doing and how we are living, with or against our planet  , we are "out of harmony" and "love" with our very life giving roots. we can mindlessly proceed as sheep led to slaughter by a very few . The question at hand is: do we love our home or are we waging a devastating war with our life providing source?

Be Green

Here are 33 points, obvious, simple wisdom that will help us survive a questionable future:

If we make it through 2012, We could have an Eden on our planet.

But, we first have to make some absolutely critical changes!

The obstacle at hand is: first, the corrupt system we have allowed to get in place must collapse or stand down and be run out! The system is designed for astronomical exponential wealth generation and domination for only a very few, at the cost of the many. Possible with some love and compassion and thinking of our brother Man and our planet's vital living organisms, the thinking people can rebuild sustainable, with a green sustainable future,  next time around. We are only human, but we do have a capacity to reason, let's do some of that! before it is too late..

First!    Wake-up!  my fellow earthlings!  It is not that humans are incapable of thriving. It’s that we’ve been duped into a system that is designed to consolidate wealth and power, rather than provide a real opportunity for people to thrive. By exposing this agenda, strategically challenging deceptive systems such as central banks and fiat money, and coming up with new ways to organize and cooperate, we can obsolete this destructive agenda and liberate our planet and our true human potential.

2. Suburbia is not sustainable! as it currently is! I'd recommend tearing out your yards and lawns and planting a organic garden, or eatable landscaping wherever possible. A problem is: municipal water supplies in arid areas may be inadequate and be overwhelmed.. Irrigation with recycled "grey water" and collected rain water may be the simple solution to this dilemma.
3. Plant some trees! Think about all the trees cut down through history to build the structures and war machines and vast fleets of navel armadas then rebuild again and again after each destructive event.  We are all also responsible, in this modern day, for purchasing too many products made from wood. The very lungs of our planet The Rain forest of South America Africa and Asia is being deforested at a rate of:  According to some estimates, 50 million acres of rain forest are cut down every year.  The United Nations says the figure is closer to 17 million acres.  The World Wildlife Fund says that every minute, 25 to 50 acres are cut or burned to the ground. Experts estimate that the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years.

Do you realize:

Throw away chopsticks consume:  Greenpeace China has estimated that to keep up with this demand, 100 acres of trees need to be felled every 24 hours. That works out to roughly 16 million to 25 million felled trees a year.

10,000 trees are cut down annually in China to make holiday cards.

How many trees are cut per year? It’s impossible to get an accurate count. Tree density in primary forests varies from 50,000-100,000 trees per square km, so the math would put this number at 3 billion to 6 billion trees per year.

Computer paper consumes:  each person in the United States uses around 660 pounds of paper a year. Assuming the oft-cited 17 trees per ton of paper, this translates into about 1.2 billion trees that could be saved if everybody recycled.

It's a green, responsible thing to do! Plant and nurture as many trees as you can.

4. Live intentionally Green.
5. Support your local Farmer's market. Whole foods and organics are best. Buy locally raised, humane, and organic meat, eggs, and dairy whenever you can. Purchasing from local farmers keeps money in the local economy.

Fresh, Local, Organic Food travels an average of 1,200 miles before it reaches your plate, so buy locally produced items to save energy and prevent emissions from going into the air.  Also, choose fresh foods instead of frozen, since frozen foods require 10 times more energy to produce. Finally, organic foods are both good for the environment and good for your health since synthetic hormones, most conventional pesticides, as well as other potentially hazardous practices are not used.

6. Combat habitat loss. Of all the animal species in the world, 97 percent are invertebrates--think jellyfish, worms, spiders, spiders--and more than half of them are on the list of endangered species. The cause? Primarily, it's habitat loss: with nowhere to live, these species--and other endangered animals--can't survive.
7. Recycle.  Encourage buying post consumer, recycled products. By recycling materials such as aluminum cans, newspapers, and glass jars, you can save energy and landfill space and consume less natural resources.
8. Grow your own food.          Practice Sustainable Agriculture. If all you have is a balcony, you can still grow things like beans and peas, tomatoes, and herbs in pots. And if all you have is a window, become a guerilla gardener: find a patch of dirt anywhere in your neighborhood and plant stuff there. Whatever you can't grow, support your local farmers and buy it at a farmers' market. survival seed vault

Buy locally raised, humane, and organic meat, eggs, and dairy whenever you can. Purchasing from local farmers keeps money in the local economy.

Senate Bill S510 Makes it illegal to Grow. Share. Trade or Sell Homegrown Food.

Are you ready for the coming collapse?

9. Resist a mindless corrupt Government. Stop the craziness of campaign contributions and lobbing for the benefit of mega business and global domination agenda at the expense of the human rights of "We The People".  Please view Thrive website for more incite on the problem/follow the money: http://www.thrivemovement.com/the_problem-follow_the_money and Thrive/problem/global domination agenda: http://www.thrivemovement.com/the_problem-gda

“It seems to me that the nature of the ultimate revolution with which we are now faced is precisely this: That we are in the process of developing a whole series of techniques which will enable the controlling oligarchy who have always existed and presumably will always exist, to get people to love their servitude.”

"The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one-world government combining supercapitalism and Communism under the same tent, all under their control.... Do I mean conspiracy? Yes I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, and incredibly evil in intent."

- Congressman Larry P. McDonald, 1976, killed in the crash of a Korean Airlines 747.

America: Freedom to Fascism-Full Length Documentary

These videos describe many of the problems at hand!  "We the people" of "our" finite planet  must all recognize the obstacles and the destructive forces of the domination agenda and do everything possible to resist and stop it! Advocate loudly for the perpetrators of the crimes against humanity: "us" and "our" planet immediate be brought to equity and justice.

10. Promote alternative energy. Improved technology, high energy prices, and climate change concerns are creating favorable markets for transforming energy systems around the world. But accelerating low-carbon economic growth requires innovative public policies and strong leadership from businesses as well as public officials. We are at the brink of an energy revolution  that is as momentous as the emergence of oil - and electricity-based economies a century ago. Our goal ahead is to focus on de-carbonize the global economy, spur innovation and green job creation, address resource scarcity, and reduce local environmental pollution.
11. Think where the stuff comes from. Don't buy it if you don't need it, use that saved $ to help fellow human beings in need or our environment including the "chain of life". Reduce consumption,
12. Go Camping.  learn how to live on necessities and get closer to nature. We do not need all the junk .
13. Save energy. Turn out the lights! Use task lighting instead of illuminating the whole room.
14. Don't let your $ vote for increased GMO. Think about the consequences of GMO foods and the future control of mega seed/ag. companies will have in our lives. Boycott unsustainable ag. business. Monsanto may be a good starting point. Protest U.S. Senate bill S510.  view Food Inc. video

Food, Inc

Boycott Monsanto! There intentions are obviously not in the peoples best interest! They are in effect gaining control of food! A future monopoly on food will be our, the common man's future nightmare! We need to not let that happen. Controlling campaign contributions and lobbing for bigger and bigger mega business growth is not helping the common man by any means any how!  It is corrupting our Government representatives to make decisions with terrible future consequences. Vote against destructive monopoly with your purchasing power. Boycott any businesses that do not have a better, greener, sustainable planetary future as part of their business philosophy.

Have our Government representatives look into FDA corruption.

15. Walk lightly on our Planet. If we irreversibly harm our one and only planet, where do we go?

16. Listen to this brother human being: we need to listen to our wise elders and stop mindlessly following these corrupt politicians and uncaring mega business and those with the gold that make the rules. If we as a perceived thinking species walked on this Earth as this elder speaks of we may have a chance of survival?

(Part 1) Indigenous Native American Prophecy (Elders Speak part 1)

From an oversea's show, spliced to view the message from one elder (Floyd Red Crow Westerman)...how america has come and is destined to go.

17. Choose eco friendly clothing. Making clothing involves a large amount of materials, energy, and labor? including  the pesticides used to grow crops for textiles,
18. Get back to basics.

19. Buy smart. Buy in bulk. Purchasing food from bulk bins can save money and packaging.

20. Eat smart. Whatever your diet, eat low on the food chain [pdf]. This is especially true for seafood. Purchasing from local farmers keeps money in the local economy.
21. Reform our monetary system. We are in the path of destruction. Our current Federal Reserve, privately owned,  monetary system is not sustainable! If you think they will do the right thing for the best human development, you are wrong! get educated on this critical issue. These scoundrels manipulate common sense for their own gain. Learn the facts, speak out about the plunder of "our" World.
22. Help preserve biodiversity. The variety of animals, plants, insects, and sea life in the world isn't just a coincidence; the diversity of life on the planet represents the health of the planet as a whole. A slow but steady loss of biodiversity can also indicate an impending mass extinction.
23. Reduce consumption. One lucrative marketing and manufacturing concept, Planned Obsolescence, well it doesn't work for a sustainable future.

Did you know:

  • Over 14 billion pound  of garbage dumped is dumped into the oceans each year....

  • The average American discards almost seven pounds of trash per day.
  • With only 5 percent of the global population, the U.S. consumes 30 percent of the planet's resources and churns out 30 percent of its wastes.
  • The Great Pacific Garbage Patch stretches for hundreds of miles across the North Pacific Ocean, forming a nebulous, floating junk yard on the high seas. Reports have stated it is as big as Texas and some report as large as France.
  • Non-biodegradable items such as plastic bags and diapers, for instance, can remain in the earth's landfills for hundreds of years
  • About 80 percent of U.S. products are used once, then thrown away.
  • 95 percent of all plastic, two-thirds of all glass containers, and 50 percent of all aluminum beverage cans are never recycled; instead they just get burned or buried.
  • The EPA cites that in just one year, Americans generate 236 million tons of garbage. While about 30 percent of garbage gets recycled or composted, 164 million tons are tossed away, including:
  • 26,800,000 tons of food
8,550,000 tons of furniture and furnishings
6,330,000 tons of clothing and footwear
5,190,000 tons of glass beer and soda bottles
4,200,000 tons of plastic wrap and bags
      3,650,000 tons of junk mail
      3,470,000 tons of diapers
      3,160,000 tons of office paper
      3,070,000 tons of tires
2,820,000 tons of carpets and rugs
      2,230,000 tons of newspapers
      2,060,000 tons of appliances
      1,520,000 tons of magazines
1,170,000 tons of wine and liquor bottles
970,000 tons of paper plates and cups
         840,000 tons of books
830,000 tons of beer and soda cans
780,000 tons of towels, sheets, pillowcases
         540,000 tons of telephone directories
         450,000 tons of milk cartons
160,000 tons of lead-acid (car) batteries
  • Natural by-products of the decomposition of solid waste in landfills are primarily carbon dioxide and methane, both extremely powerful greenhouse gases that are depleting our ozone.
  • The amount of wood and paper we throw away each year is enough to heat 50 million homes for 20 years.
  • Americans dump 16 tons of sewage into their waters — every minute of every day.
  • Americans throw away 25 billion Styrofoam coffee cups every year, and 2.5 million plastic beverage bottles every hour.
  • About 4.85 billion tons each day are thrown away Worldwide.
24. Buy bulk. Forget all the wasted packaging and advertisements.
25. Return to a simpler, organic life.
26. Get in tune with your natural environment.

27. Educate our children. Along with setting the correct example. We should revise our educational system as to what is of utmost importance: not to be
28. Have some respect for life on our planet. the whole life system, its a chain! The Chain of life! is is the critical link to our species survival
29. Practice green, sustainable architecture. Our current concept of vast acres of land consumed by suburbia is unsustainable. We need a new plan, a plan that can support all life, "The Chain Of Life".

30. Design living environments with climate zones in mind. Architecture can control our environment. Do not rely on  external energy sources as electricity and air conditioning to keep you comfortable and functioning.
31. Stop or at least slow down global warming. This is currently an extreme issue  facing our planet today, but it's also one of the most controversial: People just love to deny that it's even happening, or blame it on the Earth's natural biorhythms. That is true, however human irresponsible actions are certainly contributing to a serious negative situation.
32. Most of all: Do not let World War Three happen! People of the world, please think of the terrible consequences of domination and hate. To live a green future, we must find global balance.
33. What would JESUS do?
